Vacsil began with a founder who simply couldn’t stop noticing the problem. Everywhere he went — parking lots, shopping centers, around the community — he kept seeing the same thing, especially on cars a few years old and older: dull, yellowed, foggy headlights.

It isn’t just a cosmetic flaw. As lenses age, UV exposure clouds and oxidizes them, scattering and dimming the light they’re supposed to project — shrinking how far you can see after dark and how soon you can react. It’s a real safety issue hiding in plain sight on countless older vehicles, every night.

Then it got personal. When his own headlights faded, he had them professionally restored by one of the big national names in the business. The work didn’t even last the warranty period. When he went back, the company refused to honor it — and instead of fixing the lenses their own process had compromised, they pushed him to replace the headlights entirely. That should never have happened. But that was the reality.
